Aiming for an unexpected gift?

Who I work with:

I partner with people individually, in groups, and with and within organizations in highly customized ways which include webinars, groups/teams, consulting, and program design.  I collaborate with a small group of very skilled and like-minded coaches for projects that support a team of coaches.  The majority of the work I do now is remote.

What coaching is:

Coaching is a conversation art and science that uses evidence based models for how people work at their best to unlock perspective and movement toward a desired target.    Even this website is built on principles from the brain sciences.   Coaching:

  • pairs micro-learning and interactive conversation to foster clarity and action that closes the gap between what is and what is wanted;
  • uses evidence based practices that align with how humans most effectively engage, change, and thrive;
  • creates an objective partnership for meaningful consideration, planning, idea generation, sound-boarding, learning, and path setting; and can be thought of as product development - where the product is you or your teams.

What coaching feels like:

For most, and most of the time, coaching feels like a focused conversation on a specific topic.  The role of the Coach is to help the conversation quickly move to the heart of the matter.   Coaching holds the philosophy that the client holds the answers to what they face, and therefore there are question asked and inquiries made that rely on the client to find the answers that are true for them.  Coaching is not friendship, and at times that means the role of the coach is to share observations, even challenge a dynamic if it may be part of the obstacle to the goal.
